7 days a week, no excuses, that is what signing up and showing up for Richard Haight’s Total Embodiment Meditation Daily Guided Meditations has afforded me. The program has brought my meditation practice, after decades of being on the path, to new level of commitment and realization, as well as having a community of new friends from around the world who share in this passion. The Warrior’s Meditation is easy to learn and fun to practice throughout the day. I now know what it feels like to be relaxed as I can tune in to the senses for an enhanced experience of the present moment.

Being part of the live online experience with Richard has given me a new healthy routine that I share daily with my husband, who also participates. I have experiences of Oneness with all that is.

Being in touch with the senses has enhanced my sex life, and I feel more attuned to the natural world. I’m more sensitive to higher vibrational frequencies with increased insight and awareness with moments of spiritual clarity. I have a powerful new relationship with the world because of the Warrior’s Meditation, as bodily awareness has given me confidence in my posture and stride. It feels really good to be alive, in the body, right here, right now.

Richard is 100% committed and dedicated to guide us with words and the energy within the words through the experience of Total Embodiment Meditation. I feel so lucky to be participating in the daily meditations. I highly recommend this course to those with an interest in meditation, especially to those who have been stuck and not moving deeper into their meditative realization. ―Barbara Becker

TEM meditation has completely transformed my life. I have spent the last several years struggling with horrible anxiety, panic and fear. I constantly lived in my head with endless streams of overthinking and sabotaging thoughts. I struggled to live and be truly happy in the present moment.

Since practicing daily TEM I no longer suffer from a place of panic and severe anxiety. I have learned how to live more in the present moment and often experience long periods of time where it’s impossible to have any thoughts. Yes, I know that sounds crazy or impossible but it’s 100% true.

When stressful events occur I am able to swiftly go from beta to alpha wave through TEM meditation. This is a feeling of being in the flow that gives me the clarity I need to make better decisions not from fear but from a higher level of consciousness.

The Total Embodiment Method is a very easy meditation to practice. I first started by doing Richard Haight’s daily guided 15 minute meditation sessions. After a few weeks of seeing such benefits, I started incorporating TEM in my everyday routine – my morning exercise regime, shower, morning walk, cooking, et cetera.

The results were astonishing. I went from a person with severe anxiety, deep rooted fear and never living in the present moment to now-living my everyday life, often crying joyfully while walking through nature or doing laundry. It was truly profound for me to start living my daily life with such an abundance of clarity, love, happiness, and deep gratitude for everything in my life.

I would highly recommend TEM to anyone who wants to truly and fully live their life on a different level. As human beings we constantly sabotage ourselves and suffer beyond need. There is a better way to live in alignment with our higher self. I am whole heartedly and beyond grateful to have found TEM meditation, for it has impacted the quality of my life on so many levels. —Carrie Harney-Ford

If I had to describe myself before the time I learned about TEM I would say I was a struggling meditator. That is, I perceived meditation as something on my to-do list. I did not have a preferred style: guided meditations worked for me but not if they were about manifestation and visualization. Meditation was not a habit. Those aspects reflected my former attitude towards, and perception of meditation.

This changed clearly with Richard’s introduction of the TEM. Not to the extent that I see myself as a dedicated advanced meditator, not at all, if that is the purpose to begin with. I would rather describe myself now as a curious, patient, humble explorer and student of (the state of) ”Isness”.

The key new thing for me about TEM was the visual aspect. In the TEM the meditator is asked to focus her visual attention to the maximum possible bandwidth. While most people know this is possible, in day-to-day life, this doesn’t make a lot of sense. The visual information from the extreme ends usually contains no helpful value, while the information from the space ahead of us is partially lost, since we can’t focus on it at the same time.

However, when I first tried it, I was very positively surprised to discover that there was a lot of space around me, a new feeling and perception about my environment, which I immediately started to appreciate. While the focus was lost, an additional advantage revealed itself. When giving visual attention to the entire space, the body seems to be less capable of producing the standard thought loop patterns to the extent we are used to. Those two insights were the key incentives for me to keep training the TEM for almost a year by now.

TEM in that sense is to me a quite holistic way of perceiving the world as it is. It also works well outside when walking through the city. Compared to a closed-eye meditation, TEM adds another dimension that can be perceived, reduces the likelihood of falling asleep and reduces the intensity of the standard thought loop patterns.

With daily practice over many months, it seems now easier to perceive the vastness of the space around me. This perception itself serves as a nice trigger to enter a meditative state.

I also started to experiment with the TEM when playing tennis. Tennis is a mental game: you can not rely on teammates. Frustration in the ordinary life makes you aggressive on the court. Contentment in daily life traps you because it raises the expectation about your own game too much. Add winning pressure in competitive games and you have a toxic cocktail for an emotional rollercoaster. Not too mention the lack of fitness and practice that comes with being full time employed and a family father. However, when I practiced TEM during the game some interesting developments occurred:

  • First, the importance of the own match declined significantly. This was because I was not merely watching the opponent but at the same time I was perceiving the nature that surrounded the court. The sound of the city, the trees that moved in the wind.

  • Second, much of the stressful thoughts and concerns disappeared: “Will he serve on my left hand? Will I win the next important point?” Instead, the game unfolded as it happened, like if I was participating in a movie.

  • Third, the only thing left to do was to react to the unfolding of reality rather than anticipating it or fear it. And even then, the body seemed to just do what it had to do, i.e. return the opponent’s serve in the natural (optimal) way. Having said this, the result was not more success, rather the contrary, more mistakes because the focus on the ball was somewhat lost. However, the perception and the feelings above were clearly there and they were very fascinating. In fact, despite the disappointing outcome, I still remember those situations quite vividly as particularly peaceful and tranquil. The takeaway is that more practice is needed with TEM to fully reach my potential with tennis, but I personal look very much forward to it. —Joern Felgendreher

Meditation every day with Richard has made a huge difference in my life. Although I was initiated into meditation over 40 years ago, my meditation process usually put me to sleep and I lacked the discipline to practice on a daily basis. Meditating live with Richard is totally different. He guides us through the meditation, which is enjoyable and allows for instant feedback. He can see what is happening as we meditate. It also wakes me up rather than puts me to sleep. There is also a group which meets after each meditation, called the “Waterjug Chat”, where we encourage and help each other. If you have the desire to meditate each day, I cannot overstate the blessing of this opportunity. Don’t let it pass you by. —Linda LaTores

TEM practice has revealed to me how to exist completely unattached to the outcome of circumstances while still being fully engaged with what is in front of me. Through continued practice, we learn how to release ourselves from the thoughts and emotions that are not ours and to be present to the greater reality around us.

I have found great ease and peace of mind with Richard’s work. I feel tapped into something deeper and more vital than my emotions and thoughts. I feel more stable, solid, and joyful for what life has to bring me. I view incidents that I once perceived as negative as welcomed challenges to add to my resilience. I feel more engaged with life. —Celina Reppond, Palates Instructor

I practice TEM at a daily basis. I start doing it as soon as I get out of bed. It gives me joy, because my senses get triggered. Besides that I move from my head to my heart directly, becoming more friendly with my body.

I feel the benefits furthermore when I am making music. I play several instruments, and I sing on a daily basis, and I feel the vibration more strongly than I did before. That gives me real joy. Why does this happen?

I can feel my emotional blockages and can release my oppressed frustrations in a natural way, simply by getting acquainted with my senses. This helps me build better focus, caused by the relaxation that TEM brings me.

I recommend Total Embodiment Meditation to people who want to take charge of themselves and to people who feel lost. TEM is the best way to discover yourself by feeling inside your whole body. ―Rik Kamerik, Singer, Songwriter, Musician – reverbnation.com/ranasragas

A week after I started TEM meditations (I’ve done different kinds over the years), I went to yoga (been practicing 20 years). It was wild, as when I started class and was on the mat standing, it was a huge shift—like the peripheral gaze immediately put me into a more meditative state that would usually take the whole yoga class to achieve! I am really enjoying this type of meditation.

I actually teach a meditation class here on Maui through the Pacific Cancer Foundation (mostly the underserved population.) I think people would really respond to this type of meditation and being able to access it on a daily basis.

I started Total Embodiment Meditation (TEM) with Richard L. Haight in late November of 2019, two months ago. I have been on my spiritual awakening journey for most of my adult life, gaining insights here and there over the years. I also knew that I was looking for a practice that would assist me in moving into an awake state of awareness, that I was ready. I tried various meditation practices in the past to become aware but always ended up sleeping through meditation. I gave up on meditation about ten years ago. I became aware of TEM through Ziad Masri and decided to give it a try.

TEM is the first and only form of meditation that I have practiced that moved me quickly to an awake state of awareness. I have never fallen asleep while doing TEM. I am interactive with TEM, I practice it throughout the day, when I am sitting, when I am driving, when I am taking walks in nature. TEM is quickly becoming as natural to me as breathing. I am aware of what I am doing, aware of being in the moment. I am also aware that the story of who I am and my personality are all a fabrication of my mind and ego. The mind and ego of my form are no longer in control. The being that I am is now in charge. I still move back into beta mind and ego occasionally and when I need to (balancing the checkbook). When I unconsciously do, I quickly become aware that I have. I then consciously and easily move back into awareness.

I meditate daily with Richard in his online live mediation sessions. Richard leads us through meditation each day explaining how to use TEM. He explains how becoming aware of our five senses and our central nervous system are so vitally important to our becoming aware and awake. Richard does this by focusing on one sense during each mediation and explaining how each sense is important to our whole being and how they all are part of our awareness. I look forward to learning something new about my form each day.

When I signed up to take Richard’s TEM course and to partake in his online live daily meditations, I knew I was very close to being an awake individual, I just didn’t know how to make the leap. Richard and TEM were the answer for me. I know I still have a lot to learn and am grateful to have Richard as my teacher. ―Toni H.

Practicing TEM has allowed me to make important life style changes. I have changed my diet and lost 23 pounds in 4 months, except for a few pounds, I am keeping it off. It felt easy to do. I’ve never had a diet feel easy before. My total cholesterol dropped 50 points (it was over 200) and for the first time ever my HDL (the protective cholesterol) is above 60. I also no longer have any desire to smoke, which I would do under extreme stress or sometimes when I would have a drink.

Richard’s explanations make sense and instructions are easy to follow. I have noticed quite a difference in my level of anxiety at work and with that a great improvement in my communication and interpersonal skills. My improvement was noticed by my manager who awarded me most improved among all staff. It’s nice to be recognized for all my hard work but the best things are feeling healthier, happier and having a lot less anxiety. —Diane Ferdig, RN
